Several women believe they have to choose between their career or having children. the truth is women can do both by using their skills to work at home for the time being.
A flexible career provides extra income, a sense of accomplishment and the opportunity to stay home with your children.
Many women struggle with the decision of either staying at home with their kids or continuing with their full time career after the children are born. Thankfully, that decision does not have to be so black and white. The gray areas allow mothers to contribute to the household financially while raising her children alongside her career.

Extra income is not the only benefit today’s mom can expect from a career at home when trying to balance motherhood and career. A working mom will continue to challenge gerself intellectually. She will receive admiration from others for the ability to balance home and work life with ease. A working mother will teach her children independence, responsibility and a hard work ethic.

The question is always, where do i start? The first place to look is right in front of you. Can you continue doing your pre-child job from your hone? Many women find that by making a few alterations, they can convert their career to a part-time to start their own business. What if your career won’t work as a home based business?

Don’t be discouraged. Now is the opportunity to do something you enjoy and get paid for it. Look at your other skills. Do you play an instrument? Are you a certified teacher? Can you instruct someone on how to pitch, dribble or protect a goal? Are you good on the computer, do you have graphics skills? Can you do video testimonials for agencies? There are so many job opportunities for a mother to do for home and still  earn as much as she will doing a job that that doesn’t give her time to take care of her kids.

If you decide to take tutoring job, you will have enough time to take good care of your kids. Simply hire a teenage baby sitter to come over while you teach or adjust your hours to start after your husband arrives from work.
